This person should have a minimum of 10 years of experience within a civil,facilities, and/or site design focused practice that includes design, andconstruction support of a variety of site, stormwater, and facilitiesprojects. Barge Design Solutions iscurrently seeking a Project Manager in the State and Local Client Center. Responsibilities:
- Performs project management duties including developing client relationships, preparing scope of work and fee proposals, developing contracts including subcontracts to comply with Barge terms.
- Works closely with a team of civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical engineers architects and assists with team coordination with other disciplines from both within and outside of Barge during execution of site, stormwater, and facilities projects.
- Prepares comprehensive Project Management Plans and tracks project budgets, contracts, billing, and schedules. Ensures internal Quality Program implementation and execution.
- Reviews project reports, drawings, and other work products. Facilitates review meetings during all phases of the project.
- Provides technical guidance manages project change, implements risk mitigation strategies, and resolves project problems, challenges, and obstacles.
- May act as primary agent between client and project team developing the project scope and proposals, coordinating events, leading client meetings & internal project meetings, and ensuring delivery of final project to client.
- Meets profitability goals in support of Barge's business and strategic plan.
- Mentors others and encourages growth of staff capabilities.
- Develops and maintains positive relationships with clients, customers, officials, contractors, internal team members, and others.
- Exemplifies our core values in daily actions and promotes a positive workplace culture.
- Performs other duties as requested.
Education & Experience Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Civil, Structural, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience within a civil /stormwater/facilities focused practice and 1-2 years as a Project Manager.
- Professional registration within current state of residency and ability for reciprocity in other states within six months of hire.
- Strong design and technical knowledge.
- Strong teambuilding and collaboration skills.
- Excellent oral, written, and graphical communication skills.
- Ability to effectively manage concurrentprojects and deadlines.
