Project Manager (Cloud Migration)

NA has a client that is seeking a Project Manager (Cloud Migration) for a NA% remote (EST or CST time zone preferred) role. This is a 1-year Contract.

Details:

• There are about 45 applications that will go into the cloud (they're still in discovery phase) - these are all internal custom applications
• They will be running 10 app migrations to the cloud at any given time
• Project is slated to run through 2025
• Run multiple projects at the same time
• PM will work independently

Will need to document:

• Project artifacts
• Communication plan
• Complete an operational readiness plan

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the initiation, coordination and completion of multiple, parallel projects within the Information Technology department
• Builds and maintains strong relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in the projects
• Defines project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
• Develops and presents full-scale project plans and associated communications documents
• Estimates resources and participants needed to achieve project goals
• Assigns responsibilities, monitors and summarizes progress of project
• Identifies and manages project dependencies and critical path
• Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations
• Proactively manages changes in project scope, identifies potential crises, devises, and leads execution of contingency plans

Required Skills : * Would love someone with 10 years of experience * Able to build relationships and engage with those groups as this migration will bring about a lot of change and they need to monitor any risk associated with this * Must have Cloud Migration Project experience * JIRA will be used to manage these projects * Someone who has agile experience on the infrastructure side. KANBAN Boards and sprint reporting * Experience working on Enterprise Cloud migration, and projects * Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities * Ability to react to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently * Flexible during times of change * Ability to read communication styles of team members and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines * Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments * Strong interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to defuse tension among project team, should it arise * Exceptional written and oral communication skills * Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products
