The Project Manager (Design) will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of the project(s). This role will serve as the client interface with all project related issues and manages internal activities with cross functional groups to ensure that the project is completed on time.
This is a hybrid-remote opportunity is based out of our office on Carp Road in the Ottawa area. The role will require frequent site visits and visit to our customer's office as needed.

This is a hybrid-remote opportunity is based out of our office on Carp Road in the Ottawa area. The role will require frequent site visits and visit to our customer's office as needed.
YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
- Coordinates all aspect of projects (schedule, financial, technical and contractual)
- Is the client's interface with all related issues on projects
- Interface with 3rd party organizations for permit approvals
- Directs and supports Design, CAD and survey staff for optimum productivity
- Prepares and presents quotes within the standard time frame for the job in accordance with client's needs and company standards
- Follows support documents, schematics and procedural manuals to ensure adherence to company standards
- Invoicing supporting documentation
- Reviews and evaluates current processes and provide recommendations for improvement
- Ensure Quality control on all projects
- Supports joint ventures activities where required as part of the civil design needs
- Prepare/assist with tender documents as needed for client bids
- Attend project meetings, site visits, tenders and construction meetings to assist client needs and resolve conflicts
THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
- University degree in engineering or a college diploma in Engineering Technology or equivalent is an asset
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in an engineering, design and permitting environment with some field experience
- Minimum of 5 years' experience managing Rogers OPE and ISP design and permitting projects
- Telecommunications industry (CATV/Fiber) is an asset
- Working knowledge of Spatial Net and AutoCAD
- Familiar with CSA standards, specifically CSA 22.3 an asset
- Familiar with construction methodologies an asset
- Computer literacy in Windows, Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of engineering design and survey methods
- Ability to work and focus on a project in a fast paced environment with an upbeat attitude
- Dynamic and able to maintain excellent relations clients
- Proven organizational and interpersonal abilities
- Resourceful, adaptable, high integrity, self-starter
- Organized, self-disciplined, reliable and capable of evaluating workload and obtaining cooperation of other departments
- Good presentation and communication skills, self-assurance
- Capable of working under pressure, sense of urgency
- Must have a valid driver's license and vehicle to attend project meetings, site visits, tender meetings as needed
