About CPC Climate Capital:

CPC Climate Capital is a new subsidiary of The Community Preservation Corporation and will be a subrecipient of Climate United Fund, the recipient of a $6.97 billion grant from the National Clean Investment Fund established by the federal government as part of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). CPC Climate Capital will use its subaward of approximately $2.4 billion to decarbonize multifamily housing by making subordinate debt financing available to owners of multifamily housing nationally. These investments will reduce or eliminate on-site fossil fuels, thereby reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Our climate goals will be simultaneously delivered against other critical national priorities, including the creation and preservation of affordable housing, promoting equity and environmental justice, and supporting high-quality jobs.

Role Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Finance Project Manager to assist and coordinate financial projects from initiation to completion. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to manage timelines and deliverables while ensuring alignment with the company's strategic financial goals. The ideal candidate will possess project and change management experience, and excellent communication skills.

What You'll do:
  • Under the direction of the VP, Finance Operations, develop deadline-driven project plans, employ industry best practices related to individual projects, and schedule and attend project-related meetings to either move projects forward or monitor progress
  • Manage the progression of critical Finance projects, including monitoring and communicating status, coordinating across teams, and helping ensure that projects meet requirements and schedules
  • Manage the progression of critical Finance projects (e.g., system implementations, process improvements, compliance initiatives) including monitoring and communicating status, coordinating across teams, and helping ensure that projects meet requirements and schedules
  • Identify risks and issues early, propose mitigation strategies, and facilitate resolving project roadblocks
  • Facilitate communication between finance, IT, operations, and external partners
  • Assist with the development of training materials and policy and procedure manual documentation
  • Test projects as they are developed and document results
  • Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior leadership
  • Provide additional support to the Finance Leadership and Project Management Committee, a required
  • Perform other administrative duties, as needed

Skills and Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree required
  • Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in business process development and/or project management, with a preference for experience in the multifamily housing finance and/or CDFI industries
  • Experience with change management preferred
  • Experience with PowerPoint and project management applications preferred (i.e., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Monday, etc.)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to coordinate and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to think outside of the box and creatively problem-solve
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a team.

This is a full-time, hybrid role where you will work from the Manhattan office two - three days a week. The salary range is $80,000 - $95,000, dependent on experience.
