THE POSITION
Manages and coordinates activities of general construction and/or technical projects at the Naples Airport. Projects managed at this level may be smaller in scope and/or under the supervision of an experienced Project Manager. Reviews construction plans and inspects construction projects to ensure engineering compliance with state/local laws and approved construction plans/specifications.

THE POSITION
Manages and coordinates activities of general construction and/or technical projects at the Naples Airport. Projects managed at this level may be smaller in scope and/or under the supervision of an experienced Project Manager. Reviews construction plans and inspects construction projects to ensure engineering compliance with state/local laws and approved construction plans/specifications.
Some of the position duties include:
- Manages small to medium capital projects involving multi-disciplined architectural, engineering, and construction elements.
- Provides direction, guidance, and assistance to contractors and work crews on routine projects, including coordinating daily activities, organizing and prioritizing tasks, and monitoring work progress to ensure timely completion. Offers technical expertise and resolves complex issues.
- Collaborates closely with consultants and internal departments on planning, design, procurement, construction administration, and project closeout activities.
- Prepares and manages project budgets, including oversight of grant obligations and contributions to the annual departmental budget. Assists in securing state and federal grants.
- Develops scopes of work, bid documents, and specifications for capital improvement projects, major repairs, renovations, etc.
- Conducts plan checks at project sites, compares as-built drawings to field conditions, documents discrepancies, and takes photographs to support compliance inspections.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a full working knowledge of F.A.A. grant requirements and F.D.O.T programs. Must have working knowledge of reading blueprints and contracts. Must have full knowledge of local government agencies for code and regulatory compliance. Must have full working knowledge of federal agencies, laws, and programs to ensure airport compliance (FAA, ADA, FAR part 77, 139, 107, 150, 161 etc.). Must have working knowledge of project management techniques. Must have full working knowledge of computers and project management software.
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four year university/ college or equivalent, plus two to five years progressive project management experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and airport project management experience.
- Must possess a current, valid Florida driver's license with full privileges (not suspended or revoked) or possess an equivalent out-of-state driver's license and obtain a State of Florida driver's license within 30 days of employment.
