Project Manager III

Overview

Abacus Technology is seeking a Project Manager to support guest and event activities at Marshall Space Flight Center. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex projects from design and development through production and deployment.
• Create strategies for contingency planning and risk mitigation.
• Plan and schedule project goals, milestones, and deliverables.
• Create and maintain Integrated Master Schedules.
• Define requirements and plan the project life cycle deployment.
• Define resources and schedule for project and program implementation.
• Identify and solve project issues effectively.
• Oversee and direct the project engineering team and manages conflicts within the different groups.
• Develop RFPs (Requests for Proposals) for external services.
• Perform team assessment and evaluations.
• Define requirements for project risks.
• Design and maintain project and technical documentation.
• Assemble project teams, assign individual responsibilities, develop project schedules, and is responsible for determining and acquiring resources needed.
• Manage communications, multimedia services, printing and graphics projects such as but not limited to: development, integration and maintenance of public-facing websites and their content; informational products to NASA organizations, programs and projects; and electronic or paper copy outreach products resulting from graphic and multimedia design and/or printing and design.

Qualifications

8+ years experience in project management. Bachelor's degree in a related field. Must have strong supervisory and management skills. Must be familiar with the entire scope and requirements of project(s) and able to serve as liaison between team members and functional area management requesting project. Possesses organizational, presentation, and customer service skills. Must be proactive and results-oriented. Experience interfacing with managers at all levels and quickly resolving issues requiring tight deadlines. Must be a US citizen.
