TMB, Inc has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager SME to support the Director of Surface Ship Maintenance, Modernization and Sustainment (SEA 21) in the Team Ships Front Office (TSFO).

Responsibilities
  • The contractor shall provide on-demand timely professional support services to the Flag Officer and Executive Director in the office of SEA 21.
  • Provide SEA 21 Leadership with knowledge management, strategic planning, brief development, action tracking, and communication support to include messaging, configuration control and database management.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders via working groups, program development forums, and analytical activities. Progress client needs and deliverables into intelligent and actionable products. Understand direct and implied objectives of SEA 21 and assist with accomplishment, including addressing any barriers to success.
  • Support short and long-term tasking from SEA 21 Leadership, coordinating as necessary with stakeholders. Provide timely, high-quality products to include communication strategies, briefs, point papers, and analysis for executive level meetings and events.
  • Be attentive for and identify challenges. Participate in meetings and identify areas for improvement. Propose and develop solutions to identified challenges. The scope potentially includes developing strategic initiatives that focus on improved business practices as well as improved data utilization, messaging and tasker responses, and technical/program execution processes.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree and minimum of 20 years of experience is required.
  • Prior Surface Warfare Officer/Engineering Duty Officer with Navy afloat or ashore Command or Major Program Manager experience is required, preferably with significant surface ship acquisition experience, particularly in the areas of maintenance, modernization, and sustainment. Knowledge of NAVSEA, its customers, organization, and business objectives is required.
  • Must be a United States citizen.
  • Must possess an active DOD Secret security clearance.
  • Proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • High proficiency in the administration of Microsoft SharePoint application, MS Teams and related information technology, collaboration, and data sharing tools.
  • Proactive and excellent customer service with significant management and leadership experience. Proven ability to prioritize rapidly changing tasks and assignments.
  • Be innovative, creative, poised, and flexible. Strong analytic and strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability to work well both independently and in teams. Initiative to self-start, when required, with little to no direction or guidance.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communications skills with proven ability to communicate effectively with senior military and civilian leadership (i.e.: Flag level and SES Level).
  • Ability to perform frequent internal and external customer interface including regularly scheduled and ad hoc meetings.
  • Ability to travel reasonable distances (up to mile one way) to meet with customers or other company personnel in the execution of job functions.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds in order to carry a laptop, notebooks, papers, binders and other tools and equipment required in the execution of job functions.
