Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Serves as an independent Project Manager for departmental projects of moderate complexity, or in a supporting project lead role for more complex and high risk projects. Responsible for the execution of departmental project methodology to accomplish delivery of approved initiatives, as well as to develop and maintain integrated project plans to ensure that the work is completed on time.
- Consults with project stakeholders to develop business cases and project charter; ensures project scope is defined and understood. Responsible for recommending overall project strategy, translating business needs into system requirements and design specification; reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available departmental resources to various phases of project.
- Blends creativity, problem solving and technical skills to refine existing theories, or develop new system approaches to seize opportunities and sustain business success; responsible for identifying trends/opportunities for improvement and make recommendations for changes; champions change and facilitates continuous improvement in operating the business including internal processes.
- Serves as subject matter expert, applying quantitative analytical skills in developing models from managing and analyzing extensive amounts of data, to include complex statistical and trend analysis - both on an ad hoc and routine basis. Ensures project documents and all related technical and statistical reports are prepared in accordance with requirements and methodologies. Ensures standard operating procedures, process workflows and performance matrices and/or efficiently standards are develop, tested and assessed for all operating systems developed.
- Manages (directly or indirectly) a dynamic team of individuals who constantly search for creative ways to evaluate the capabilities of systems to meet business needs, partly but capitalizing on emerging technologies and partly by adapting technologies to the needs of the customer. Outline work plans, identifies and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks; reviews status reports and modifies schedules or plans as required. Proactively identifies when projects are at risk and initiatives direct intervention to ensure resolution (e.g. off-schedule, off-budget)
- Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.

Minimum Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering, Math or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum Experience:
- 8+ years of project management experience in an organization of comparable size and diversity
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Solid project management skills and ability to multi-task and manage multiple large scale, high risk and high dollar projects in a cross-functional environment; experience leading project teams through all life-cycle phases
- Demonstrated experience in the application of structured analysis and technical design techniques; experience using a wide range of interpretive analysis tools (e.g., trend analysis, spreadsheets, comparisons, graphs, summary versus detail charts, drill down, correlations, exception analysis)
- Technical proficiency in hardware and systems software and experience implementing packages and working with vendors
- Experience working with customers to develops solutions to complex business problems, developing new work processes or process improvements
