Our client in Rockville, MD, is seeking a highly skilled professional for a long-term contract opportunity as a Project Manager. In this role, the successful candidate will provide vital project management support to the client. The position entails overseeing information technology projects of the highest sensitivity and complexity, ensuring that these critical initiatives are executed with precision and excellence.

Required Skills:
- At least twelve (12) years of professional, hands-on experience as a project or program manager in the information technology field.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, business, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Execute project plans and revise them as needed to meet changing requirements.
- Evaluate goals, risks, and constraints to determine the most effective project management methodology (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid).
- Assist stakeholders in identifying and documenting business problems and project goals through business cases.
- Facilitate communication, conflict resolution, and decision-making among multiple stakeholders, proactively removing barriers.
- Ensure project needs and objectives are communicated and teams have all necessary information and resources.
- Adhere to the defined EPM governance process.
- Maintain documentation reflecting changes to scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Translate and document customer requirements into functional requirements and user stories clearly and comprehensively.
- Keep stakeholders and senior management informed about project status and respond to status requests promptly.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues and implement mitigation strategies.
