We're looking for a full-time Project Manager to help advance public works projects in Southeast Louisiana to construction through pre-planning and right of way acquisition. Project Manager Candidate Profile

An ideal candidate will embrace our mission and commitment to helping clients succeed. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of a project life cycle. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to:
  • Define project scope and create project schedules, setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines
  • Serve as a point of contact for team members and manage relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Forecast workload, deliverables, project revenue, and cost
  • Manage and approve project time and invoicing and adhere to project budgets
  • Produce project-related communication, such as status reports and meeting notes
  • Act as primary contract manager ensuring contract compliance for deliverables and adherence to contractual provisions
  • Implement quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle through oversight and review of completed work products
  • Assign and delegate tasks to team members and work on multiple assignments
  • Work within parameters of client specifications which vary from project to project

Required Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of professional experience in a related field
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills and a strong work ethic
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality
  • Desire to grow in all disciplines within the right of way industry and embrace Civix's technology and tools for managing the land acquisition process
  • Ability to maintain daily timesheet with notes of services provide
  • Strong technical skills and experience utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated skills and experience as a project manager and will have some knowledge and understanding of the right of way acquisition life cycle which may include one or more of the following:
  • Ability to read a map and project plans and follow a legal description
  • Title research and abstracting experience
  • Understanding of curative title requirements
  • Knowledge of the Uniform Relocation Act
  • Knowledge of rules, regulations, policies, and procedures governing public projects
  • Experience working in a GIS platform

The position is based in the Greater New Orleans Area with the ability to work remotely. Travel to the Civix office in Metairie is required depending on project requirements as well as regular travel for project related meetings across the region, including the New Orleans and Baton Rouge metropolitan areas and Southwest Louisiana. Civix provides standard mileage reimbursable at annual IRS rate for project related travel.
