Swarm Aero is redefining air power, building the largest swarming UAV and most versatile swarming aircraft network in the world. The company is moving quickly to launch the first aircraft designed specifically for swarming as well as the Command & Control software to mobilize swarms of thousands of heterogenous autonomous assets and empower human operators to achieve superhuman results.

The team has created and exited multiple startups, negotiated defense deals worth billions of dollars and designed and built 30+ novel aircraft, with aerospace experience from Scaled Composites, SpaceX, Airbus, Archer Aviation, Blue Origin, and Boom Supersonic.

What you'll do
  • Oversee and approve task planning on programs including resource requirements and effort estimates related to program performance.
  • Track and support Flight Test and aircraft modification activities.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines and budgets, ensuring adherence to project milestones and deadlines.
  • Recommend and implement new tools and/or processes to increase overall efficiency of projects.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks, resolve issues and drive project progress.
What you've done
  • 5+ years experience overseeing technical design of aircraft components
  • Overseen complex project scheduling and budgeting for an aerospace or other complex integrated hardware / software program.
  • Managed commercial contracting and procurement requirements and demonstrated understanding of financial and labor cost systems and production processes.
  • Developed proficiency in the use of business applications software and the ability to use specialized project management and financial applications.
  • Demonstrated success as owner of a process or a loosely defined project and / or ability to thrive in an unstructured environment.
What sets you apart
  • PMP certification or equivalent.
  • Working proficiency with Microsoft Project and / or Smartsheet.
  • Knowledge of ITAR and previous experience in government and military flight operations.
  • Experience working on a novel aircraft or new complex hardware program.
  • Located in Southern California and/or willingness to relocate to Southern California.
