Summary

Serve as the IT Department's key link with business clients/product owners and development teams on key projects utilizing agile, waterfall or hybrid project management methodologies. Ensures cross-functional project is successful by providing client support and ensures business objectives are being met while managing the project scope, duration and spend.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, level of effort, strategic alignment, stakeholders and business value
  • Engage with the business and technology leads
  • Facilitate project planning, development of user stories and estimates, sprint planning
  • Facilitate and assist with business analysis and project design
  • Establish project priorities, manage resources, budgets, timelines, deliverables, risks, issues, and all other project management functions
  • Engage all project stakeholders at appropriate stages in each project as to ensure that project work is moving toward useful outcomes
  • Provide meaningful progress and feedback reporting that will allow project stakeholders to make course corrections
  • Assist with vendor resource management
  • Foster an environment of successful delivery and continuous improvement
  • Manage the scrum process with the coordination of the scrum team in agile methodology
  • Remove impediments faced by the scrum/project team
  • Help product owners to keep the product backlogs in good shape and make them ready for the next sprint
  • Facilitate group sessions such as retrospectives, backlog grooming, sprint planning and stand-ups
  • Identify all affected stakeholders for a project
  • Facilitate and/or participate in the analysis of client business processes and functional requirements and in the preparation of appropriate documentation to communicate and validate the information


Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Experience in complex IT projects
  • Understanding of the SDLC, PMP, Agile and Scrum Methodologies
  • Own the development of project plans using the associated project planning tools, which include work plans, schedules, milestones, critical paths, detailed tasks, and deliverables
  • Provide status on project milestones, alerting client/ project manager of any potential delays
  • Assist with the design and implementation of training programs for clients of new and enhanced application
  • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams
  • Ability to be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work
  • Strong team building and collaboration skills
  • Strong track record as a relationship builder with effective negotiation skills and proven interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to drive teams to resolve issues and deliver successfully


Education/Experience Requirements

  • PM in related field required and 7-10 years relevant work experience.
  • Scrum Certification (Desired)
  • PMP Certification (Desired)
  • Experience in managing cross-functional and remote teams.
  • Experience with MS Project.
  • Experience with JIRA.
  • Experience with Visio.
