This role is ideal for a professional with strong project management skills who is ready to oversee complex projects, manage client relationships, and drive team success.
About the Role:
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of a variety of mechanical engineering projects, including HVAC and plumbing systems, energy efficiency, and low-carbon initiatives. You will manage all aspects of the project lifecycle, from initial client contact and proposal preparation to project execution and closeout, while ensuring high-quality deliverables and client satisfaction.
You Will Report To:
Until the Mechanical Engineering business leadership is established in Mississauga, the Project Manager will report to the National Practice Lead for Mechanical, while also receiving local support for day-to-day operations from the Mississauga office.

You Will Report To:

A Day in the life of a Project Technologist at Pinchin:
- Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and energy efficiency designs, from inception to completion.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Coordinate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs with other building systems.
- Conduct regular project meetings, provide updates to clients and stakeholders, and ensure all project requirements are met.
- Prepare proposals, project scopes, and cost estimates, and participate in business development activities to grow client relationships.
- Oversee site inspections, technical reviews, and quality assurance to ensure compliance with design specifications, codes, and standards.
- Manage project risks and issues, making adjustments as necessary to meet project goals.
- Mentor, manage and provide guidance to junior staff, supporting their growth and development within the team.
- Stay current with industry trends, standards, and best practices to support ongoing improvement in our engineering services.
What You Bring to the Pinchin Team:
- A college diploma or university degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field. P.Eng. designation or PMP certification is considered an asset.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering project management, with a strong background in HVAC and plumbing systems.
- Proven experience managing multiple projects, coordinating teams, and delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.
- Strong client relationship management skills, with the ability to develop new and grow existing relationships.
- Proficiency in project management software and engineering tools such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, IES, and Trace.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- A valid driver's license and ability to travel to various client sites locally and to adjacent provinces.
