Job Description
Positions are contingent upon the awarding of a contract to DeAngelo Contracting Services. Candidates will be updated on the progress of the bid award once determined.
BASIC PURPOSE: The position is responsible to oversee the total asset management of one or more highway Projects/Contracts within the Plano/Dallas area.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for the Management and Operations of Complex Highway Projects/Contracts.
- Develop and periodically revise a work plan for the maintenance and operations within the projects limits to specifications under the contract.
- Manage all employees including Asst. Project Managers, Supervisors, technicians, specialty work crews, administrative staff and other staff.
- Monitor all Project overheads to ensure proper utilization of resources and proper expense management by Asst. Project Managers, Supervisors, and other responsible staff.
- Monitor contract to ensure proper expense management and maximization of operating profits are being accomplished.
- Make sure utilization of current equipment inventory is effective, and that the inventory is of sufficient quantity to handle contract needs.
- Put together long-term personnel and equipment scheduling to determine overall project needs.
- Identify, support and partner with the Contracts Committee for business development and estimating needs.
- Ensure all staff are abiding by all federal, state and local laws within the scope of their contracts.
- Monitor fleet of vehicles and equipment to ensure worthiness, thus not jeopardizing DCS LLC employee
- Work with Administrative support roles by lending direction regarding:
- Location overhead (office) payroll budgeting
- Location overhead (office) staffing needs
- Information processing systems
- Location overhead (office) major expenditures
- Office image and cleanliness
- Ensure a solid recruiting and hiring game-plan and that this game-plan is executed on a timely basis.
- Work with the Corporate Recruiting team to develop recruiting and hiring game-plan, as well as the execution of this plan.
- Perform annual evaluations on all responsible employees
- Work in conjunction with corporate department heads, DCS Management and managers to coordinate training efforts annually for existing employees, new employees and division and branch-specific training needs.
- Work with managers and DCS Management in providing direction for the development of the project's overhead budgets
- Ensure regular and appropriate contact with the customer; provide updates and report issues; ensure resolution of all customer complaints or problems.
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
- A minimum of 10+ years' management experience related to total routine maintenance contracts, and snow and ice control.
- College degree is strongly preferred with a preference for a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (or comparable)
- Knowledge of financial goals and terminology
- Ability to prepare and manage budgets successfully, as well as regular project budget forecasting
- Must be available 24/7 to the project
Certificates & Licenses (if applicable):
- P.E. License a plus
- Additional industry-related training/certification is desirable
