Protein Industries Canada (PIC) is seeking a Project Manager to support Member companies in the execution of agrifood processing projects that will increase the economic value derived from Canadian plant protein.
Job Type: Permanent Full-Time
Location: Canada (remote)
Salary Range: $80,000+

Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
Provide Global Innovation Cluster program guidance to Protein Industries Canada Members
Project set up and monitoring: milestones, workplans and workbooks
Work with clients to execute projects as a Steering Committee member, and monitor progress to ensure that consortia members are meeting the terms of Master Project Agreements
Manage and evaluate ongoing projects through tracking of project milestones as reported by Steering Committees
Support development of interim and final reports
Assist in development of internal standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Support project consortia in management of change orders, foreign cost requests, and other project specific approvals as required
Provide general guidance and technical expertise to Protein Industries Canada Members consistent with the candidate's technical background
Facilitate reporting to stakeholders on project progress, and collaborate with marketing colleagues to share success stories from Member projects
Able to travel within Canada occasionally

As the successful candidate, you are a self-starter with a communication style that enables you to drive consensus among partners with diverse interests. You bring demonstrated experience building collaboration, solving problems and holding stakeholders accountable. You perform best when balancing multiple priorities and are excited about the opportunity to support development of emerging technology and new markets. You have collaborated with companies of various sizes and have experience interacting with public sector researchers. You are passionate about the agrifood industry, and eager to contribute to Canadian innovation. Above all, you are organized with exceptional attention to detail.
Education and Experience:
A degree in Business, Agriculture, Food Science or equivalent
Experience managing multi-stakeholder projects with budgets over $500,000 will be considered an asset
Completion of formal project management training will be considered an asset
A mix of other education and transferable experience will be considered
