Job Summary:
This position will manage midstream oil and gas projects, with some upstream and downstream, including preliminary route development, design, construction staking, and as-built phases. Responsible for preparation of proposals and invoicing for surveying services. From Time to time, participate in land development, renewables, and utility survey projects.

Qualification Requirements:
10+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Surveying from an accredited four-year college or university; or a minimum of ten (10) years of related Survey experience and/or training.

Accountability and Duties:
- Coordinates production of preliminary and final construction drawings
- Prepare proposals for surveying services
- Ensures proposal protocol is followed
- Ensures timesheets are submitted on time
- Delegates specific project components to Project Managers, Project Surveyors, and Staff Surveyors for completion
- Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects
- Responsible for project schedules and timely completion of projects for self, team members, and subordinates
- Maintain a good relationship with clients
- Participates in business development activities including: maintaining and expanding existing clients, and increasing service offerings as well as identifying new business opportunities
- Professionally represents the firm at client & municipal meetings/hearings
- Prepares and monitors project budgets, billing, and assists with A/R
- Keeps supervisor informed of workload and any changes in project scope or additional services
- Provides an accurate accounting of time spent on projects with descriptions for each time entry on a weekly basis
- Mentors and assists with training of Project Surveyors and Staff Surveyors
- Assists with the evaluation and development of Surveying staff
Qualification Requirements:
10+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Surveying from an accredited four-year college or university; or a minimum of ten (10) years of related Survey experience and/or training.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Valid driver's license (required),
- Licensed Land Surveyor (preferred)
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent oral and technical written communication skills
- Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Available to work nights and weekends to complete a project as necessary
- Ability to make independent decisions within a general framework
- Ability to supervise the work of field and/or office surveyors
- Knowledge of industry related software
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Microsoft Office (if applicable)
- Must be fluent in the English language
