Description:

The Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of projects that align with company objectives and support GIA's short- and long-term enterprise strategies. Serving as a key partner to the Strategic Management Office, this role is responsible for managing initiatives across varied scopes and complexities, ensuring strategic alignment, on-time delivery, and cross-functional collaboration.

In addition to core project management responsibilities, the Project Manager will contribute to process improvement efforts by identifying operational inefficiencies, recommending enhancements, and supporting implementation of changes that drive greater efficiency and effectiveness. Leveraging strong project leadership and analytical skills, this role plays a vital part in advancing both business growth and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

This role is located in the Seattle, WA area and works through a hybrid work environment with 2 days in the Seattle office.

Job Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution
  • Lead and manage enterprise projects to ensure successful completion of project objectives within established timelines
  • Partner with project sponsors to define objectives, scope, schedule, and budget
  • Create project plans, establish timelines, and set milestones to ensure successful project delivery
  • Effectively manage several diverse projects at the same time
  • Monitor project progress and provide reports to sponsors and PMO on project portfolio status, established timelines and expected results
  • Assess project risks and develop resolutions to maintain productivity, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop project requirements, resolve issues and ensure project success
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, promoting a collaborative and effective work environment
  • Organize regular project meetings to assess progress, address issues, and implement solutions

Process Improvement and Analysis
  • May work with business units to identify and document needs and requirements
  • Collaborate with business units to understand operational challenges and document business needs
  • Evaluate workflows and procedures to identify inefficiencies, redundancies, etc.
  • Prepare workflow charts and diagrams to specify detailed operations
  • Recommend process enhancements that support strategic goals, increase efficiency, and improve customer or stakeholder experience

Documentation and Reporting
  • Contribute to the creation of project and process documentation, as well as presentations

Develop and maintain project schedules, and resource plans
  • May be assigned other duties as required

Qualifications & Skills:

REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor's degree in business management, project management, insurance, or related field or substitute for education. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies
  • Experience with process improvement or operational efficiency initiatives is preferred
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions
  • Familiarity with P&C insurance industry processes and terminology
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools
  • Proficiency with process mapping tools is preferred


Comprehensive Benefits:
  • Pay Range: $76,040-$139,677depending on experience
