Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Execution
- Lead planning, coordination, and execution of HVAC and mechanical projects from concept through closeout.
- Oversee estimating, procurement, labor forecasting, and installation sequencing.
- Manage contract administration, including terms, change orders, and compliance tracking.
- Prepare and review project documentation-proposals, RFIs, contracts, and correspondence.
- Forecast labor/material needs and monitor project budgets to maintain cost efficiency and quality.
Client & Stakeholder Communication
- Develop and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Represent the company at client meetings, industry events, and progress reviews.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, vendors, and subcontractors to promote collaboration and project success.
Team Collaboration & Leadership
- Facilitate preconstruction meetings with department leaders to align on scope and milestones.
- Serve as the central liaison between Engineering, Purchasing, Accounting, Field Operations, and Service.
- Mentor junior project team members, supporting their development and success.
Financial Oversight & Strategic Growth
- Track project financials including costs, billing, and cash flow with support from accounting.
- Identify cost-saving strategies and drive process improvement across project management functions.
- Assist in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to support company growth in the Seattle market.
- Participate in internal innovation initiatives and process improvement teams.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years managing mechanical construction projects, ranging from $100K to $25M+.
- Proven success in cost estimating, budget management, and project forecasting.
- Background in developing and maintaining business relationships with clients and partners.
Skills:
- Strong leadership, organizational, and team management abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and project management tools.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Bid Tracer (a plus).
