Work Schedule: Onsite, 5 days a week

Job Summary

• We are seeking a highly experienced Project Manager with a strong background in Transmission and Distribution (T&D) to oversee large-scale electrical infrastructure projects.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects involving transmission lines, substations, and distribution systems.
• This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to ensure the successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience working on projects for major utilities such as Duke Energy, Florida Power & Light, OCU, and WAPA.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end delivery of T&D projects, including planning, execution, and close-out.
• Oversee the construction and upgrades of transmission lines, including reconductoring, structure replacements, and installation of insulators and switchgear.
• Manage substation projects including the installation and upgrade of breakers, transformers, and bus configurations.
• Coordinate mobilization efforts, logistics, material procurement, and subcontractor management.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and tracking tools for purchase orders, bids, and timelines.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to define technical specifications, timelines, and deliverables.
• Supervise cross-functional project teams, including construction managers, quality control specialists, and HSE personnel.
• Foster strong client relationships and ensure alignment of project goals with client expectations.
• Monitor project performance, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience managing T&D projects within the energy or utility sector.
• Track record of successful project delivery for major utilities such as Duke Energy, Florida Power & Light, OCU, or WAPA.
• Expertise in managing transmission line and substation projects, including equipment installation and system upgrades.
• Strong proficiency in project scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and vendor coordination.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, SharePoint, and project management software.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Experience working with internal teams and external stakeholders in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent industry experience.
• Familiarity with SCADA communications and telecom equipment.
• Experience with transmission systems operating between 230kV and 500kV, including knowledge of applicable codes and standards.

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline
