Role description:
Join one of the largest architectural firms in the world while retaining the chance to work in a boutique-style team for some of the highest-profile jobs in Vancouver! We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Vancouver living practice to work with our high-rise residential projects.
You'll have the opportunity to work with a fast-paced, driven team with a proven success record in both design and technical excellence! The successful candidate will ideally offer experience leading and managing projects end to end, along with strong production side experience (working drawings) - this will be imperative.
You will have hands-on experience with detailed drawings, a strong ability to project manage/coordinate along with strong interpersonal skills to further develop relationships with clients and other consultants. Furthermore, you will be someone who has a keen eye for detail, a strong critical thinker and problem solver, and someone who enjoys tackling new challenges and opportunities. This role will also be involved in design development. Responsibility for project performance is the root of the success of this position; quality and client satisfaction!

The salary range for this position is $78,000 - $117,000. The base salary represents Arcadis' hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.

Role accountabilities:
- Under the direction of the Studio Manager, be able to work independently, lead the production team to prepare working drawings for permit, the tender, and construction
- Coordinate with client and other consultants, clear and efficient communication with client, and the contractor
- Attend project coordination meetings, and prepare, and distribute meeting minutes if required
- After issue for construction, be able to continue work on the project at the construction stage, review shop drawings, answer RFIs, solve site issues, attend site meetings if required, assist contract administration staff
- See through the completion of the project
Qualifications & Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in the same position as a Project Manager with high-rise residential projects
- In-depth knowledge of working drawings
- Good knowledge of Building Codes, LEED, and Vancouver Green Standards
- Familiar with building permit, tender, and construction requirements
- Good communication skills - verbal and written
- Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD skills for undertaking working drawings
- Knowledgeable with other MS software such as MS Word and Excel, able to prepare other documents, e.g. schedules, project stats
- Strong commitment to Health and Safety
