Position purpose

Project Owner will develop business process improvements as well as implement changes in workflows, structures, and teams to ensure continuous company performance.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks
  • Develop and implement new process enhancements for existing team members
  • Responsible for managing multiple projects at the same time
  • Manage a project backlog and prioritize them with Senior management based upon changing requirements
  • Manage approval and sign off on various projects, allocate project resources, and manage priorities and schedule conflicts
  • Act at the main point of contact between teams and stakeholders
  • Maintain stakeholder communication, organize presentations, and team meetings, and make high-level status reports
  • Manage stakeholders' expectations and project variances
  • Influence stakeholders to support business projects
  • Confront issues and create plans for problem solving to remove performance bottlenecks

Qualifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, relationship management, client facing, negotiation, team-building, and problem-solving.
  • Ability to effectively and professionally handle difficult situations that may arise when working with other departments.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Aware of environmental changes and the ability to adapt & overcome
  • Enthusiastic about new projects and the benefits they will bring to the customer and the company.
  • An understanding of the latest process enhancement strategies
  • Experience in Project Management is a plus

Supervisory responsibilities
  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department
  • Provides coaching to department staff
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy
  • Goal-Setting and Training of Team Members

Work Requirements

Each employee must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, utilize a computer, maintain a work schedule, and effectively perform in an office setting. To maintain and ensure secure privacy of borrower (and other protected) information, an essential function of this job may require physical attendance in a defined office space. (i.e. branch or corporate office location). Employment with PRMI requires compliance with and adherence to all applicable mortgage and fair lending laws and regulations as well as PRMI policies. The ability to work extended hours may be required.
