GENERAL FUNCTION:
The Project Superintendent is responsible for tracking progress on projects, including budgeted man-hours, labor, and related metrics. The role involves identifying project issues, coordinating project scope changes and contingency plans, and keeping station supervisors continually informed of project status.

  • Track progress on projects, including budgeted man-hours, labor, and other key metrics.
  • Identify project issues and coordinate project scope changes and contingency plans.
  • Communicate project status to station supervisors and ensure they are kept informed of any changes or issues.
  • Learn and effectively use the company's planning and operations systems.
  • Apply resource planning and scheduling experience to optimize project outcomes.
  • Utilize basic knowledge of shipbuilding activities, standard marine practices, and general specifications for construction/repair.
  • Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with other supervisors.
  • Maintain a strong focus on quality, production, safety, and environmental aspects of the work being performed.


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in production craft supervision.
  • Experience in resource planning and scheduling.
  • Basic knowledge of shipbuilding activities, standard marine practices, and general construction/repair specifications.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with other supervisors.
  • Strong focus on quality, production, safety, and environmental standards.
