Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Strategic Leadership: Develops and implements strategic initiatives to enhance the efficiency and quality of the proposal content management process, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Advanced Content Management: Oversees the growth, structure, and continuous improvement of the content library, ensuring content accuracy, relevance, and alignment with evolving business needs.
  • Team Leadership and Mentorship: Provides guidance and mentorship to Proposal Library Administrators, proposal consultants, and other team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Acts as a key liaison with SMEs, leadership, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless collaboration and the delivery of high-quality, competitive proposal content.
  • Content Development and Optimization: Analyzes and optimizes proposal content performance to uncover trends, insights, and opportunities, driving innovation in content development and management.
  • Training and Development: Develops and delivers comprehensive training programs for SMEs, new hires, and stakeholders on Ombud software, proposal processes, and best practices.
  • Process Improvement: Leads initiatives to streamline and improve the proposal development process, leveraging technology, data analysis, and feedback to drive efficiency.
  • Advanced Reporting: Collaborates with leadership to develop and maintain sophisticated reporting mechanisms to measure and communicate database growth, content reusability, and proposal efficiency metrics.
  • Executive-Level Support: Provides high-level support for high-profile or complex bids, ensuring proposals meet strategic objectives and organizational standards.
  • Content Quality Assurance: Ensures all content adheres to organizational branding, style guidelines, and quality standards.
  • Proposal Content Leadership: Assumes lead roles on high-impact proposal content projects, coordinating across departments and ensuring timely and successful completion.

Client Responsibilities

This is an internal client facing position that requires excellent customer service skills and interpersonal communication skills (listening/verbal/written). One must be able to; Manage difficult or emotional client situations; Respond promptly to client needs; Solicit client feedback to improve service; Respond to requests for service and assistance from clients; Meet commitments to clients.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in English, Journalism, Marketing, or Communications Preferred; and more than eight (8) years job related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Five (5) or more years healthcare industry experience or PBM experience required. Proven track record in leading complex, cross-functional proposal initiatives. Experience in a high-volume Proposal department environment is a plus.

Computer Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) required.
  • Advanced knowledge of Ombud or similar proposal management systems.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and other graphic design tools is a plus.


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

PMP or APMP certification preferred. If no PMP or APMP certification, incumbent is expected to obtain certification within one year of assuming position.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
