Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute relay protection & control engineering projects from design to commissioning.
- Develop protective relay settings and coordination studies using software like SEL ACSELERATOR, ASPEN, ETAP, or CAPE.
- Configure and test SEL, GE, ABB, and Siemens relays to ensure optimal protection and performance.
- Perform hands-on relay testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning in the field.
- Ensure compliance with NERC, IEEE, and NETA testing standards.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and field technicians.
- Collaborate with clients, utilities, and internal teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems focus preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in protection & control relay engineering (NETA Level III or IV a plus).
- Expertise in relay testing equipment (Doble, Omicron, Megger, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of power system protection, relay coordination, and fault analysis.
- Experience with SCADA, automation, and communication protocols (IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus).
- Leadership skills with a passion for mentoring and developing others.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, growth-driven environment.
