Job Title: Nurse Practitioner
Salary:
Salary Range: $115,000-$145,000 annually, depending on experience.
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
Location: Tucson, AZ
Job Summary:
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides medical and psychiatric services to children, youth, and families enrolled in the behavioral health program. The NP ensures the administration and delivery of high-quality, medically appropriate, and evidence-based care. This position requires effective collaboration as a team member with administration and professionals from other disciplines.
Essential Duties:
Work with regional health plans, medical staff, and the Casa de los Nios Medical Director to ensure the delivery of high-quality, medically appropriate care.
Utilize the Casa de los Nios EHR system and e-prescribing platform.
Maintain psychiatric oversight in emergency services and acute care services (e.g., admission and discharge decisions, level of care determinations, and direct supervision of care).
Ensure psychiatric coordination of care in outpatient and residential services through leadership and participation in regular interdisciplinary team case reviews.
Coordinate with other medical providers, specifically primary-care physicians, to provide high-quality health care.
Maintain direct involvement in the quality management and utilization management processes, adapting to changes as necessary.
Support and coordinate with the Casa de los Nios Medical Coordinator in scheduling psychiatric appointments and managing medication needs, including prescribing and refilling prescriptions.
Participate in the peer review process.
Required Education/Experience/Skills/Abilities:
Valid Nurse Practitioner license required.
Completion of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry training, meeting the requirements within professional Board guidelines.
Experience in conducting evaluation, assessment, and treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorder is preferred.
Must meet training and agency requirements for the position.

Must possess or be able to qualify for and maintain a valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Work Environment:
Work is generally performed within an office environment with standard office equipment available.
Position Physical Demands:
Occasional to moderate physical effort (lift/carry up to 25 lbs.).
Occasional to moderate reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
Driving Requirements:
May drive on behalf of the agency.
A 3-Year Motor Vehicle Report must be provided.
