Salary Range: $115,003.20 - $161,967.88
Primary scheduled hours: 80 hours per pay period - Day shift
Job Summary: This position will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with mental health and emotional disorders, providing individual and group therapy and prescribing medication when necessary. Will provide outpatient psychiatric evaluation and medication management services at Newport Health Clinic.

Education Background and Experience Requirements
Minimum Education:
Master's or Doctorate Degree in Nursing with focus in Psychiatric Nursing.
Graduation from a state-certified advanced practice program specializing in psychiatry/mental health.
Required Licensure / Certifications:
Active license as Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Required Experience:
5+ years of experience in a clinical setting preferred
Knowledge of mental health and emotional disorders
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Able to work as part of a team
Strong organizational and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Essential Job Functions:
- Diagnose and treat patients with a variety of mental health and emotional disorders.
- Provide individual and group therapy tailored to the needs of each patient.
- Prescribe medications as part of a comprehensive treatment plan when clinically indicated.
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments to determine the appropriate course of treatment.
- Manage and monitor patients' medications, ensuring effective medication management is maintained.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team, including therapists, social workers, and primary care providers, to deliver a holistic approach to mental health care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with clinic policies and state regulations.
- Provide support and consultation to families and caregivers regarding patient care and progress.
