Description:

What you'll do at OhioMHAS :
  • Providing patient care
  • Daily rounds
  • Complete Initial psychiatric assessment, physical evaluation, and psychiatric work-up
  • Provide psychotherapy, psychopharmacological therapy, and other therapies in accordance with delineated clinical privileges
  • Request patient information
  • Develop individual treatment plan
  • Confer with case managers, mental health agency, community social workers and physicians
  • Consults with family
  • Discharge planning and complete summaries in accordance with Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules, and Regulations
  • Make referrals and consultations request to external facilities
  • Provide medical record documentation that meets Joint Commission and federal standards and requirements
  • Provide coverage for Admission Office
  • Participate, attend, and facilitate meetings
  • Attend Court hearings
This is an hourly position covered by the Ohio Health Care SEIU/1199 bargaining unit (union) , with a pay range of #P1 on the Ohio Health Care SEIU/1199 Pay Range Schedule . Normal working hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm at Northcoast Behavioral Healthcare, 1756 Sagamore Road, Northfield, Ohio 44067.

The selected candidate salary is negotiable based on qualifications.

Additional Salary / Appointment Information:

Pay increase of 4.5% July 1, 2025 and a 3% increase July 1, 2026.

Qualifications

Certificate to practice medicine per Section 4731.13 of Revised Code; satisfactory completion of residency training program in psychiatry, as approved by the residency review committee of the American Medical Association, the committee on post-graduate education of the American Osteopathic Association or the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology & Psychiatry or has been recognized as a psychiatrist by the Ohio State Medical Association or the Ohio Osteopathic Association on the basis of formal training & 5 or more yrs. of medical practice limited to psychiatry per Section 5122.01(E) of Revised Code.
