Incumbents are responsible for carrying out these professional duties in accordance with generally accepted psychological theories, methods, techniques and practices. They are professionally responsible for the application of said standards and for the accuracy and reliability of the data obtained and basic recommendations made.
Performs psychological diagnoses and treatment; participates, as a member of a patient treatment unit, in staff discussions on patient diagnoses, treatment, and progress.
Administers or reviews results of the full range of diagnostic tests for psychological assessment, interprets results, and prepares psychological evaluations.
Designs and implements programs involving the application of behavior modification principles and techniques.
Consults with related professionals on topics or techniques within areas of specialization.
Conducts organizationally approved research projects of limited scope.
