Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
Job Specialty: Physical Therapy
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 8-hour days, Tuesday through Saturday. Day shift from 07:30 to 16:30, with an hour lunch. Every other weekend, first to float.
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: Minimum 2 years
License: Required to submit
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
Must-Have:
- Experience with both outpatient (90%) and inpatient (10%) care
- Familiarity with Cerner charting system
- Availability for orientation (12 hours required)
Job Description:
- Provide quality care under the supervision of a physical therapist in a post-acute care setting.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure effective patient treatment plans.
- Deliver therapy sessions based on the patient's diagnostic evaluation and care plan.
- Document patient progress and responses to treatment using the Cerner charting system.
- Adapt to floating between units as needed, supporting various teams.
- Comply with all hospital policies including scheduled shift cancellation allowance.
- Participate in continuous learning and development opportunities.
This role requires adaptability, strong communication skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
