Position Details:
We are looking for a compassionate and friendly Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant to join our Pulmonology team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive care to patients with respiratory conditions such as asthma, COPD, pneumonia, and other pulmonary disorders. Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough physical assessments and medical screenings of patients with pulmonary conditions
- Diagnose and treat common respiratory illnesses, including asthma, bronchitis, and pneumonia
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, considering their medical history, current symptoms, and lifestyle factors
- Prescribe medications and therapies, such as inhalers, antibiotics, and pulmonary rehabilitation programs
- Educate patients and their families on the importance of proper disease management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications
- Perform diagnostic procedures, such as spirometry, chest X-rays, and arterial blood gas analysis
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
- Ability to travel within a one-hour (or more) radius, covering multiple facilities throughout the day
Qualifications
- 6 months of experience in pulmonology or a related clinical setting preferred (not required)
- Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant License
- Must hold a Master's Degree in Nursing
- Completed degree from an accredited program
- Preferred experience in documenting EMR (Epic, Cerner, PCC, etc.)
