Job Title: Purchasing Manager
Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Compensation: $90,000 - $130,000 per year

Job Summary:
The Purchasing Manager will oversee the procurement of materials, components, and services essential for our manufacturing processes. This role is crucial in ensuring production schedules are met while maintaining quality and cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have experience in the aerospace sector, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to build lasting relationships with suppliers and internal business partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with company goals and objectives.
  • Manage the procurement process from supplier selection to contract negotiation and purchase order management.
  • Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and competitive pricing.
  • Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock to minimize excess and shortages.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards and regulations in all purchasing activities.
  • Lead and mentor the purchasing team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Prepare reports on purchasing metrics and trends for senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of purchasing experience, with at least 2 years in the aerospace manufacturing sector.
  • Proven track record of effective negotiation and supplier management.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Knowledge of aerospace regulations and quality standards is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
