Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with company goals and objectives.
- Manage the procurement process from supplier selection to contract negotiation and purchase order management.
- Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
- Maintain and develop relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and competitive pricing.
- Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock to minimize excess and shortages.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards and regulations in all purchasing activities.
- Lead and mentor the purchasing team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Prepare reports on purchasing metrics and trends for senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of purchasing experience, with at least 2 years in the aerospace manufacturing sector.
- Proven track record of effective negotiation and supplier management.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Knowledge of aerospace regulations and quality standards is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
