Job Purpose:
The QA AutomationTest Lead will oversee testing activities for a major product platform implementation, working closely with client stakeholders and cross-functional teams. This role involves leading the design and development of test automation frameworks and driving in-sprint test automation for both UI and backend. The candidate will guide the testing team through end-to-end functional testing, ensuring high-quality deliverables and efficient project execution.

Requirements
  • Lead testing activities for major product implementations, interfacing directly with client stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive coverage of functional testing.
  • Drive the design and development of the test automation framework.
  • Enable in-sprint test automation for UI and backend systems.
  • Guide and mentor team members in implementing best practices across various testing domains including system testing, regression testing, performance testing, and security testing.
  • Work closely with the customer and development teams to coordinate communications and activities related to testing.
  • Ensure that acceptance criteria are verified accurately per the sprint plan to facilitate early validation and prevent defect leakage to production.
  • Monitor the project from a process and quality standpoint, alerting the project manager to any deviations or risks at the earliest opportunity.
  • Track quality metrics and initiate proactive interventions to improve these metrics.
  • Efficiently report test metrics to client stakeholders, reflecting the accurate status and quality of the product.
  • Have a good working knowledge of agile and DevOps processes, particularly in relation to testing.

Job Specification / Skills and Competencies:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong client interfacing skills and the ability to propose innovative solutions.
  • Experience in the financial domain, specifically with payment-based systems, is preferred.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new testing tools and technologies and implement them effectively.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
