Position Overview:
The QA Engineer will be responsible for developing and executing automated and manual testing processes to ensure the quality and reliability of our suite of cardiac monitoring applications across web, Windows, and mobile platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and QA best practices. This role will also involve supporting the QA Lead/Manager and serving as a backup when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute automated and manual testing processes.
- Create comprehensive test plans and write detailed test cases.
- Execute manual and automated test cases and document defects.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure software meets all technical specifications and user requirements.
- Collaborate with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve defects.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory quality management systems throughout the testing process.
- Conduct thorough testing of our Angular frontend using tools like Jasmine, Karma, and Protractor.
- Support the QA Lead/Manager and serve as a backup when needed.
Qualifications:
- 3-5+ years of experience in a software QA role.
- Experience with web-testing tools such as Selenium Driver, Katalon, or similar.
- Experience with Angular testing tools such as Jasmine, Karma, and Protractor.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, with experience in Postman/Insomnia testing being a plus.
- Familiarity with Test Management Tools, Azure DevOps experience is a plus.
- Understanding of SQL queries.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding of positive and negative testing.
- Excellent communication and reasoning skills, with the ability to multi-task across several projects.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with Quality Management Systems.
- Experience in Medical Device Manufacturing.
- Experience with Windows application testing.
- Experience with Mobile app testing.
