Position Summary:

To manage projects supporting the US Quality Strategy by leading and developing the following compliance activities: policy and program creation, training, internal audit, regulatory and audit compliance. To drive improvement through oversight and management of the Quality Management System for the Distribution Centers operations. To deliver compliance, process innovation and continuous improvement initiatives across the network. This role will also have supervisory responsibility overseeing quality assurance team members in the distribution center.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
  • Develop, improve, and lead the Quality Management System
  • Responsible for developing internal policies and procedures to shape the Quality department, working with in-plant resources to ensure proper implementation and training of all quality programs, and mitigating quality risk
  • Work closely alongside Distribution Center teams to implement new Quality programs or rollout changes to existing programs
  • Deliver training to Quality Supervisors related to program rollout
  • Oversees the prioritization and portfolio of Quality projects in partnership with the Director of Quality
  • Identify, coordinate, and manage several quality projects to advance the Quality Management System
  • Oversee the planning, design, implementation, and completion of the projects
  • Execute the project plan and provide support for moving the projects forward
  • Identify and communicate alignment and impact of project plan across the organization
  • Proactively anticipate project risks and establish contingency plans for project success
  • 50% travel is required
  • Other projects or duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in food science or a related subject and 6+ years of related experience or a high school diploma and 9+ years of specific experience
  • 5-7 years leading Quality and Food Safety in an operational or functional support role; experience leading and managing quality projects
  • 6+ years of project management experience
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience
  • Experience in a distribution and/or manufacturing work environment
  • Capability to lead and develop a Quality culture through engagement at all levels
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work and facilitate inter-departmental teams
  • Ability to motivate individuals and effectively accomplish tasks through others; ability to foster a collaborative work environment
  • This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test

Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Master's Degree
