Position Summary: The QA Test Engineer II will play a pivotal role in moving HOMELINK into the Test Automation space and maintaining relevance in the space with up-to-date best practices. In this role, you will aid in the design and architecture of our QA testing platform. You will strategically guide HOMELINK away from manual testing and build out test plans and cases that can be automated. The Quality Assurance (QA) Test Engineer II will be key to the success of implementing new tools and adopting new ways of thinking for quality assurance (QA) testing.
The ideal candidate for QA Test Engineer II should demonstrate strong leadership and quality assurance testing skills. The ideal candidate will have completed a position as a QA Analyst, have bootcamp experience, or equivalent practical experience in a related field to be successful in this role. This position supports HOMELINK by providing the QA team members with guidance and expertise in QA software testing skills to apply to various business needs.

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. Responsibilities/Duties of the QA Test Engineer II:
This role will contribute to HOMELINK by working with stakeholders and the QA team to successfully deliver comprehensive plans and tests that result in stable, efficient, and effective software.
- Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies to ensure quality deliverables for key stakeholders.
- Participate and lead through test automation efforts.
- Develop and implement test plans and procedures using testing tools.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
- Ensure projects, initiatives and processes are in conformity with established policies and compliance regulations for QA team.
- Maintain updated regression testing documentation.
- Comprehend the full scope of a project and make the best suggestions and methods to develop, test, implement, and maintain a project
- Collaborate regularly with stakeholders, development teams, system architects, business analysts, and QA teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Provide mentorship and guidance on best practices to less experienced QA team members. Share knowledge willingly to foster growth and development on the QA team.
- Communicate with clients about the business processes of their projects and replicate business processes into efficient and effective software design from a testing aspect.
- Maintain relevant knowledge and understanding of available industry software testing tools.
- Troubleshoot quality issues and modify test procedures as needed.
- Learn and apply new methodologies as needed, and coach junior team members on new methodologies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
- 3-7 years of experience related to quality assurance or quality control.
- Proven experience with quality assurance and process improvement activities and/or data analysis.
- Proficiency in programming languages Java, Python, and/or JavaScript.
- Bachelor's Degree and participation in a bootcamp or practical experience in a related field preferred.
- ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level Agile Tester (CTFL-AT) preferred.
- Experience with test automation frameworks.
- Experience with test automation tools like Cypress, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
- Proven experience testing and/or coding .Net applications, ASP.Net, MVC, ADO.Net or Entity Framework.
- Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools preferred.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies preferred.
- Knowledge of performance and security testing preferred.
- Must comply with continuing education per Company, regulatory, contractual, and accreditation requirements.
Skills and Competencies:
- Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations and accreditation standards.
- Knowledge and understanding of data analysis, data communication methods, and display of data.
- Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, time management and organizational skills.
- Strong documentation skills and communication skills, particularly in standard operation procedures to successfully operate across multiple departments and stakeholders.
- Commitment to maintaining a high level of competence in quality assurance, performance improvement and data analysis concepts.
- Basic knowledge of computer concepts, information systems (e.g., Microsoft Office, excel formulas, pivot tables, graphs, trendlines, etc.)
- Effective written/verbal communication skills.
- Effective teamwork, team facilitation, and mentorship skills.
- Advanced querying knowledge of SSMS/SQL.
- Advanced knowledge of HOMELINK software products preferred.
- Customer service and end-user focused.
Physical Requirements:
- Operation of office equipment and using technology efficiently such as computers, phones, misc. office equipment
- Visual abilities to include reading, distance vision and peripheral vision
- Moving throughout the VGM facilities when needed.
