JOB OVERVIEW
The Quality & Safety Manager is responsible for driving the 80 Acres Farms quality and food safety programs at our Florence, KY farm. With strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation and quality principles, regulatory standards and 80 Acres programs, this position will ensure the delivery of the highest quality and food safety standards and continuous improvement.

JOB OVERVIEW
The Quality & Safety Manager is responsible for driving the 80 Acres Farms quality and food safety programs at our Florence, KY farm. With strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation and quality principles, regulatory standards and 80 Acres programs, this position will ensure the delivery of the highest quality and food safety standards and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Oversee food safety and quality program implementation and effectiveness including Cleaning and Sanitation, Environmental Monitoring, Pest Management, Equipment Calibration, Equipment Commissioning, and Internal Audit.
- Verify compliance with regulatory requirements and current Quality & Safety programs at area farms. Site contact for regulatory inspections.
- Facilitate compliance with and completion of third-party audits, identity preserved inspection and corresponding corrective action implementation.
- Manage internal, customer and consumer quality and food safety complaints for the Florence area farm, including trending, reporting and corrective actions.
- Work closely with Operations, Growing and R&D teams to deliver high-quality products.
- Train and supervise Quality & Safety personnel at the farm.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement projects where applicable.
- Help build and maintain food safety culture across multi-disciplinary farm teams.
Qualifications:
- BS in Agriculture, Food Science, Chemistry, Postharvest Physiology and/or related equivalent experience.
- 5 years of supervision experience required.
- 5 years of experience in quality and/or food safety management role. Produce experience, including and pre- and post-harvest is preferred.
- HACCP Trained/Certified.
- Knowledge of FSMA regulations for farms and facilities.
- Ability to solve problems in fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Ability to facilitate and collaborate cross functionally with operations, R&D and commercial organizations.
- Proficient in use of computer systems and programs and detailed data collection
- Ability to work in a team environment.

- Repetitive motion throughout the shift
- Standing or walking for a long duration of time
- Crouching and kneeling
- Lifting up to 50lbs
- Will be exposed to 39-degree temperatures when working in the packaging area
- Will be exposed to heights when working in the grow area
