About the role:
You will work with business and engineering teams in our organization and partner organizations to understand product vision, requirements, and how all elements of the software ecosystem work together, then develop and continuously improve QA approaches that fit the overall strategy. You will be responsible for development of test strategies, creation of appropriate test harnesses, development and execution of test plans while monitoring and reporting on test execution. You will succeed in these endeavors by combining your experience with your ability to listen to, learn from, and communicate with a diverse group of collaborators.

You're an experienced QA engineer looking for your next opportunity to drive, innovate, and learn. You want to work on projects that require innovative and creative thinking, engagement with stakeholders, and allow you to work self-sufficiently to develop and drive test strategy, planning and test cases for both automated and manual testing. You have a high bar for product excellence and are a clear communicator.
Key job responsibilities
- Work with internal and partner teams to understand product vision, requirements, and how all elements of the software ecosystem work together
- Develop an overarching test strategy and continuously improve QA approaches aligned to the strategy
- Develop test plans and create test harnesses
- Execute test plans, drive resolution of issues, and report status and issues to stakeholders
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
- Experience in automation testing
- Experience in manual testing
- Experience as QA lead on medium to large sized projects
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in gathering test requirements to create detailed test plans and defining quality metrics to measure product quality
- Experience with at least one automated test framework like Selenium or Appium

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $102,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
