Overview

Are you an experienced Quality Assurance Test Engineer seeking an opportunity to apply your expertise and make a meaningful impact? Join our innovative team and play a pivotal role in enhancing and improving our federal clients' applications by developing and executing custom automation test scripts to support a cutting-edge application.

This position offers flexibility, with the option to work at the ILS office (Fairfax, VA), the client location in Washington, DC (off Vermont Ave.), or in a hybrid working model.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute custom automation test scripts to support advanced applications.
  • Operate in a SAFe Agile environment, creating automated test scripts to troubleshoot and resolve critical issues, while implementing long-term solutions for clients.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to ensure seamless integration and testing.
  • Design and execute test cases to model financial software transactions, ensuring they meet business and model requirements.
  • Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks and tools.
  • Provide production support by tracking and troubleshooting application issues to sustain operational efficiency.
  • Lead cross-functional efforts to ensure application enhancements meet quality standards and business expectations.
  • Facilitate customer and end-user testing, incorporating feedback through iterative test-and-learn cycles.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of current experience in Selenium Automation Testing Tools
  • Experience in End-to-End testing, UAT Testing, Regression and Performance Testing
  • 3+ years in a Java environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field with a strong technical foundation.
  • Ability to analyze and document business requirements for complex financial software logic.
  • Experience designing and executing test cases for financial software transactions.
  • Expertise in building and maintaining automation frameworks using Java, with skills in back-end application development.
  • Experience developing test plans and debugging applications in development or production modes.
  • Strong documentation skills to capture steps in development, testing, and user acceptance processes for reference and internal controls.
  • Familiarity with Continuous Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, and Continuous Deployment using DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins).
  • Experience working in a SAFe Agile development environment.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to learn and understand business operations and requirements.
  • Strong communication skills for engaging non-technical staff and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Capability to prioritize tasks effectively and deliver results on time.
