Quality Development Manager

ICL Group, a leading global specialty minerals company, is excited to announce its expansion into the North American battery materials market with the creation of a state-of-the-art battery factory in North St. Louis City. As part of a half-billion-dollar investment, ICL is building a large-scale commercial production plant that will manufacture lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cathode active material (CAM) for the energy storage and electric vehicle markets.

We are currently seeking aQuality Development Managerto join our team. In this role, you willbe managing the product quality challenges in battery material manufacturing processes from development stage through pilot development and successful transfer to series manufacturing.

• Implementing of quality requirements into the project specifications
• Identifying potential risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success
• Planning of the quality organization, piloting of new processes and implementation in series processes
• Definition and continuous development of methods, relevant to the product portfolio and product / application requirements, corporate product quality (process and methods)
• Collaborating in cross-functional teams from cell development, operations, business and supply chain
• Development and validation of required quality management and quality control processes towards battery materials manufacturing standards.
• Support / drive supplier materials qualification according to the product requirements and in line with ICLs corporate quality standards.

What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?

• Scientific or engineering degree e.g in material science, chemistry, physics, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or comparable qualification
• 5 or more years of professional experience in the field of development / management of quality and processes in automotive, food / pharma and/or chemical industry
• Experience in battery active materials development and manufacturing is a plus
• In depth understanding of quality methods (e. g. Control Plan, FMEA, 5-Why, Fishbone Diagrams, 8D, Lessons Learned) as well as knowledge of battery and automotive manufacturing standards / certificates

Compensation at ICL:If you are hired at ICL, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. We also offer a generous benefits package (more information on benefits listed below).

Salary Range:$112,000 - $154,000

Annual Bonus Target:12%, subject to plan provisions.
