About the Team
You will be part of the Inscape QA team that is focused on quality on front end embedded client/TV as well as backend cloud services that reports high quality data to customers. The client QA team is responsible to test various embedded clients and firmware for a variety of Vizio TVs. The backend QA team is responsible to validate our award-winning Inscape data set which is used by millions of people every day. We have top-notch software engineers, but with this much data, occasionally, there are errors. That's where you come in! We're looking for detail-oriented testers to use our QA team that validates the Inscape data and alert us of critical bugs and errors before actual users are affected.

For California-based employment: The minimum salary for this position is $96K. The maximum salary for this position $144K. In addition to base salary, the compensation package also includes eligibility for an annual bonus, as well as equity and a range of medical, dental, vision and other benefits.
For Colorado-based employment: The target salary range is $88K - $132K. In addition to base salary, the compensation package also includes eligibility for an annual bonus, as well as equity and a range of medical, dental, vision and other benefits.

What You Will Do
- Execute blackbox/white-box/functional test cases/steps for embedded clients, firmware on Vizio TV with high attention on quality
- Execute against prepared test plans defined in our test management system
- Perform validation and exploratory/manual test coverage in order validate accuracy of ACR data reported by embedded clients on the TV
- Perform test executions on full technical stack for TV from embedded client to SOC firmware
- Partner with Product/Engg/QA to identify gaps in test coverage
- Measure and report/document test coverage
- Co-ordinate and perform testing of different types of cloud/core services hosted and also understand the impact of data reported from these services
- Identify anomalies in Inscape data via cross-collaboration with various teams and come up with test cases to address them
- Automate the manual test cases using BDD frameworks
About You
- 2+ years of proven experience in software engineering
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Familiar with various testing methodologies
- Proven experience in device testing/API testing/embedded systems/troubleshooting embedded systems
- Fast-learner
- Proven experience with system integration testing, end-to-end testing, databases, CI/CD pipelines, SQL queries
- Ability to document and troubleshoot errors.
- Strong attention to detail and patience to track down difficult issues.
- Possessing an analytical mind, critical-thinking skills, and problem-solving aptitude.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meticulously follow detailed steps.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across different divisions.
- Nice to have : device/cloud Automation experience
