Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support Quality Director in implementing improved monitoring methods & lesson learn activities on production line.
- Work with local EMS teams to monitor & improve product quality & performance; review & maintain quality metrics to evaluate process performance & work with manufacturing to ensure expectations/KPIs are met.
- Investigate root cause of workmanship-related failures & lead EMS teams for CAPA implementation.
- Lead implementations of improvement plans & actions to improve production First Pass Yield & Field Reliability.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field and 3 years of experience as a quality engineer in electronics production.
- Experience/skills must include: quality engineering with multidisciplinary electronics mass production at EMS, quality KPI creation & monitoring, root cause analysis, CA/PA; Quality compliance system, statistical process control; quality tools including 8D methodology, design of experiments, Voice of customer, Value Stream Mapping, Failure mode effective analysis, Repeatability and Reproductivity, Control plans; Six Sigma & lean methodologies; statistical tools (Minitab, JMP)
- OR Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field and 5 years of progressive experience including: quality engineering with multidisciplinary electronics mass production at EMS, quality KPI creation & monitoring, root cause analysis, CA/PA; Quality compliance system, statistical process control; quality tools including 8D methodology, design of experiments, Voice of customer, Value Stream Mapping, Failure mode effective analysis, Repeatability and Reproductivity
