We currently have an opportunity for a Quality Engineering Manager to join QAC and take ownership of the delivery aspects of Software QA/QE efforts for client's OEM products in petroleum sector. This role spans both new features on existing products and new product development. The successful candidate will be the primary point of contact and key owner for delivery success, expected to work closely with the customer QA Manager and QA Architect to coordinate, plan, execute, and report on projects and teams.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Lead multiple integrated QA Vendor and customer QA teams through comprehensive Software QA/QE efforts
- Strategy Development: Collaborate with the customer QA Architect to design and implement effective strategies and test campaigns for various projects
- Technical Assessment: Conduct an 8-week technical assessment to determine the customer's needs, understand their current QE practices, and establish an appropriate test strategy and team structure to achieve testing goals and deliver quality
- Team Building: Understand required staffing skillsets and direct the build-out of the associated QA Vendor teams
- Coordination: Act as a liaison with the customer QA Manager to provide ongoing status updates on projects and teams
- Documentation: Ensure all processes and work are fully documented, maintaining high standards of transparency and accountability.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership on QA and QE efforts from day one, including potentially directing and leading changes within the customer's QE processes
- Point of Contact: Serve as the main point of contact for the Director of Engineering and QA Manager regarding project and resource management.
- Management: Oversee the QA Vendor team for both project management and resource management aspects, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
- Deep hands-on Software QA/QE experience in New Product Development in the industrial automation space (oil & gas, forestry, fertilizer, mining, fishing, manufacturing, etc.)
- Previous experience with PLCs, Control and Data bus architectures, Hardware Simulators, Embedded software platforms, UI/UX front ends, and SCADA systems
- Ability to design QA/QE strategies and test campaigns for hardware-based software projects
- Superior documentation abilities including the organization of materials
- Petroleum product knowledge (nice to have): Blenders, Frac pumps, Hydrators, Acidizing, Wellhead monitors
