Quality Engineering Manager (Multiple Positions), Becton Dickinson and Company, Columbus, NE.

Manage quality systems and quality engineering activities within the designated Business Unit (BU). Support validation activities for processes, products, materials, and projects in accordance with the company's Quality strategy. Develop strategic direction for the BU consistent with Hypodermic Platform, MDS and BDX Quality strategy. Implement an effective Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) process aimed at reducing customer complaints, non-conformances, excursions, rejections, and waste. Build organizational capability for Quality management, including the selection and mentoring of Quality Engineering professionals. Evaluate, design, implement, and continually improving quality systems and business processes to achieve quality goals. Provide guidance in integrating Quality Management into business strategic planning process. Champion needs of both internal and external customers. Build strategic relationship with Platform Quality, R&D, Regulatory management groups. Provide coaching and supported all levels at the BU plant. Support customer audits.

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field, and five (5) years of post-baccalaureate, progressive, related work experience.

Must have three (3) years of experience with/in:

  • Medical device industry;
  • Performing statistical analysis;
  • Supporting validation activities related to processes, products, and materials;
  • Leading customer audits and maintaining regulatory compliance;
  • Building organizational capability for Quality management, overseeing Quality Engineers and Quality Representatives;
  • Evaluating, facilitating, designing and continually improving Quality systems and business processes;
  • Lean/ Six Sigma;
  • Implementing effective CAPA process; and
  • Developing strategic direction for the BU consistent with industry standards.
