The Quality Manager provides leadership and management of the Quality department. Monitors, acts upon, and assists others with the internal audits, customer feedback, process performance, product conformance, corrective actions, and changes that affect the quality of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished products. Develops effective solutions, using proven problem-solving techniques, to address non-conformance issues.

SUPERVISION
  • This position manages employees and is responsible for the performance management and of employees within the Quality department

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Manage the MBW Quality Management System and related customer requirements
  • Maintain procedures and associated documents
  • Ensure the availability of resources and information necessary to support the operation, monitoring, and continual improvement of quality system processes
  • Determine the monitoring and measurement to be undertaken to provide evidence of conformity of product to determined requirements
  • Maintain an effective audit program, taking into consideration the status and importance of the processes and areas to be audited, as well as the results of previous audits
  • Define the audit criteria, scope, frequency, methods, selection and training of auditors
  • Maintain records of the nature of nonconformities and any subsequent actions taken, and ensure involvement of appropriate personnel to address these situations
  • Work with others to determine the necessary competence of personnel performing work affecting product quality
  • Communicate ongoing quality performance summaries through company meetings and company bulletin boards
  • Support the management of MBW in the completion of Management Review activities
  • Effectively interacts with production and engineering teams to maintain product supply and introduction of new products
  • Works directly with suppliers to ensure compliance of supplied materials
  • Works directly with customers to support quality requirements

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field, preferred
  • Experience: 3-5 years' experience
  • Certification: Lean Certification, ISO Internal Auditor Certification

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

This position will include a combination of standard office and production floor activities. Floor activities will require you to be on your feet, lift up to 30 lbs., possibly experience loud noises and welding dust. In the quality assurance aspect of the position, standing for long periods of time will be necessary when inspecting product quality.
