Job Summary:

To help maintain the quality of the products that Rowell Chemical purchases and sells by maintaining data from all suppliers on all products and have data available for all customers.

Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Responsibilities):

• Keep files stored on shared drive of product data supplied from various suppliers on all products shipped out of Willow Springs & direct shipments.
• Update all product (tank) analysis as lab results come in and mathematically on all other products (tanks).
• Quality manager will need to have contacts of all product suppliers.
• Update all SDS' and specifications on shared drive.
• Work with operations to make sure they have the updated SDS' on file & readily available.
• Train all employees on product stewardship, ACD, NSF, HACCP
• Work directly with sales to help maintain correspondence of all data and quality control measures Rowell has in place.
• Maintain & annually update all quality policies, FDA, HACCP, NSF, internal procedures, etc.
• Audit 2 to 3 suppliers annually (NACD requirement)
• Lead all customer audits and terminal visits.
• Collect all non-conformances, analyze root causes and put preventative measures into place, analyze repetitions. Coordinate non-conformance meeting with selected customer service and operations personnel.

Qualifications (Knowledge, skills, and abilities):

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• A degree in a relevant field is preferred but not mandatory; equivalent experience will be considered.
• Quality manager must be able to acquire all necessary information regarding product quality-product stewardship.
• Having the basic knowledge of all products at terminal, able to collect necessary data and knowledge of all direct shipments from supplier to customers.
• Quality manager must have valid driver's license and able to drive to customers and suppliers.
• Quality manager must be able to fly to audit customers and suppliers.
• Quality manager must be able to attend seminars and any/all NACD functions.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with attention to detail.

Direct reports

All customer and supplier audits will be reported to President and Vice President. All non-conformances will be reported to President, Vice President, Customer Service Manager along with all involved.

Additional Duties and responsibilities

• Fill in as customer service.
• Fill in on operations management.
• Work with ACD coordinator
• Work with transportation
• Perform new product analysis & train employees on storage and handling.
• Work side by side with all terminal training procedures, document filing
