As an R2R Accountant for multiple legal entities, you will join the Global Business Solutions (GBS) Record to Report (R2R) General Accounting, Close and Cash (GACC) team. This is a pivotal role in a dynamic environment, with the potential for growth and increased responsibilities aligned with business needs. Description In this role, you'll be responsible for general accounting matters related to various topics under US GAAP at Apple, as part of the Global R2R General Accounting, Close and Cash team. The successful candidate will: Play a pivotal role in the US GAAP month-end and quarter-end close process. This entails ensuring the flawless implementation of the monthly and quarterly close process, adhering to the month-end close timetable, and collaborating with accounting functions supporting the regional and global close. Leverage foreign exchange knowledge to manage and execute the month-end revaluation and translation process. This involves understanding the system's functionality and promptly troubleshooting any issues that may arise. Establish and maintain a robust control environment. Gain a deep understanding of internal finance policies and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) procedures, providing guidance to the broader finance teams on their interpretation. Own multiple general accounting areas across various financial entities, including general accruals and cash, among others. This may involve preparing and reviewing manual Journal Vouches and Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations. Liaise with other Accountants and Accounting Managers in R2R to ensure consistent processes are applied across all regions and that corporate finance policies are consistently treated. Actively participate in the various accounting quality programs administered by the R2R GACC team. Provide technical and operational accounting guidance to business partners across the Finance organization. Regularly review team processes with the aim of continuous improvement and process optimization. Support the R2R team in all external and internal audits. Support initiatives and ad-hoc projects as required. Develop with the role to expand responsibilities within the GBS organization.

Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of post-qualification experience in a US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) environment, preferably in an international or corporate setting.
- B.S. in Accounting or related field

- Technical Proficiency: Deep technical knowledge of US GAAP, with a proven ability to interpret and apply complex accounting standards.

- Analytical Expertise: Proven track record of evaluating, analyzing, and presenting intricate data to diverse audiences.
- Master of Accountancy, CPA or equivalent qualification preferred.
