Job Description
Job Title: Radiologic Technologist
Job Specialty: CT Technologist (Computed Tomography)
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 10-hour nights, Monday-Thursday, 7:00 PM - 5:30 AM, some call and holidays
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: Minimum of 2 years
License: State License Required
Certifications: BLS, Certified CT Technologist - ARRT (CT), Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R)
Must-Have: Experience working with trauma patients in a Level II facility
Job Description:
- Perform CT scans for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department using GE CT machines.
- Manage average caseload including outpatient (12-14 scans per day), in-house procedures (10 patients per day), and emergency department (average of 40 scans per day across all shifts).
- Utilize Epic Systems for electronic medical records and McKesson for Picture Archive and Communication System (PACS).
- Coordinate with in-house radiologists during the day and manage on-call situations after hours.
- Collaborate with a Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech who is always available as a resource, unless working overnight or weekends.
- Participate in a 1-week department-specific orientation, ensuring access to resources if questions arise.
- Start IVs when necessary, though it's preferred, not required.
- Adhere to the rotation schedule for holidays and fulfill weekend and call requirements based on the contract.
- Wear provided scrubs according to the department dress code.
Additional Notes:
- The hospital reserves the right to cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.
- Position involves no floating to other areas; focus solely on the designated GE CT machines.
