Job Title: Rad Tech
Job Specialty: Cardiac Invasive Tech - Cath Lab Tech
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 8H Days, M-F, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., On-call - 5-7 days a month, usually 1 weekend (tentative)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty
License: Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R), CA fluoro license
Certifications: American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS, RCIS, American Heart Association Provider ACLS
Must-Have: 2 years in specialty, structural experience preferred but not required
Job Description:
- This is a nicotine-free facility and it is included in the drug screening.
- Must pass the Arrhythmia Interpretation/Telemetry test with 85% or higher before completion of orientation and independent assignment of telemetry/monitored patients; tested annually thereafter.
- The position involves working in 2 cath lab suites and 1 EP lab (currently under construction).
- Average caseload includes 4-5 EP and 6-7 cath cases per day; volume expected to increase with new vascular surgeon and interventional cardiologist joining.
- Common diagnoses and patient types include PCI, pacemaker, STEMI, diagnostic, TAVR/Watchmans. Experience in these areas is preferred.
- Duties involve using Epic for charting, with McKesson, Philips, and Siemens equipment.
- Unit-specific orientation is provided.
- Dress code does not require specific scrub color.
- Cancellation policy allows client to cancel one shift every two-week payroll period with a maximum of 3 shifts per 13-week assignment or 2 shifts for assignments of 12 weeks or less.
