Job Summary:

Provide scientific, engineering, and technical assistance (SETA) to the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), Directorate for Science and Technology (ST), Advanced Technologies Intelligence-1 (ATI-1). The Radar Research & Development (R&D) Engineer shall provide support both for in-house technology development initiatives and for evaluation and monitoring of the scientific and engineering adequacy and feasibility of R&D proposals and ongoing projects by other parties in government, academia, and industry. This support will be provided on-site to ATI-1 location at Patrick SFB, Florida.

Responsibilities:

• Provide Project Management (PM) support and requirements analysis of advanced concepts and emerging technologies supporting the operational community by leveraging efforts across industry, academia, national laboratories, operators, and other visionaries.
• Support PM with day-to-day program activities to include but not limited to technical writing, teleconference, file management, travel planning assistance Perform engineering activities to analyze user requirements and operational capabilities and constraints, define objectives and develop concept and system performance levels and constraints.
• Ensure proper application of scientific and engineering principles to define and resolve issues in the design and development of operational prototype systems for MASINT collection activities.
• Perform analysis of operational requirements, interpret user needs and provide input for system capabilities requirements documents.
• Support planning, develop technical documents supporting acquisition and integration programs.
• Participate in and provide expert scientific and engineering support to integrated process teams to build and update technology management
• Advise on integration plans along with test plans, procedures and reports to ensure the developed plans satisfy the requirements through test and evaluation cycles.
• Translate operational needs into hardware/software requirements.
• Draft technical documentation and user requirements as required.
• Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Provide required tracking and status reports of program activities.

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must currently possess a fully adjudicated (not an interim) DoD Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor of Science (BS) in a specific/related scientific /engineering field and 8 or more years of experience.
• Must pass a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph prior to hire.
• Former Officer, Senior NCO or Warrant Officer with military experience or intelligence background with 10 to 15 years' experience pending military experience.
• Successful background and drug screening check.
• Ability to identify and solve problems.
• Ability to manage time and resources.
• Good interpersonal skills and an effective communicator.

Preferred Requirements:

• Master's degree or higher in a specific/related scientific/engineering field and 5 or more years of experience.
• Strong knowledge on the acquisition process.
