Minnesota Oncology is in need of an experienced BC/BE Radiation Oncologist for a robust practice in its Maplewood location. Minnesota Oncology is a multi-disciplinary private physician-led medical group specializing in hematology and oncology with more than 70 providers in medical oncology, radiation oncology, gynecology oncology, plastic surgery, breast surgery and thoracic surgery; serving in eleven clinic locations across the Twin Cities metro area. Minnesota Oncology is in need of an experienced BC/BE Radiation Oncologist for a robust practice in its Maplewood location. Minnesota Oncology is a multi-disciplinary private physician-led medical group specializing in hematology and oncology with more than 70 providers in medical oncology, radiation oncology, gynecology oncology, plastic surgery, breast surgery and thoracic surgery; serving in eleven clinic locations across the Twin Cities metro area. Responsibilities
- Our Maplewood Cancer Center is ASTRO accredited and houses two Varian linear accelerators, Eclipse treatment planning system, and PET scanner with a CT scanner available for diagnostic and simulation scans.
- We treat 50-60 patients per day and offer treatments with RapidArc IMRT, IGRT, SBRT, SRS respiratory gating, radiopharmaceuticals and HDR brachytherapy. It is staffed with 4 radiation oncologists, 3 medical oncologists, 1 gynecologic oncologist, 3 advanced practice providers, 1 palliative care provider, 3 dosimetrists, and full-time on-site physics.
- 1:4 call schedule with no hospital call.
- Minnesota Oncology maintains strong relationships with other private medical groups and hospital systems in the Twin Cities and has an excellent reputation as a referral center for patients in the Twin Cities metro area and outlying communities. Opportunities for leadership and for research through Metro-Minnesota Community Oncology Research Consortium and The US Oncology Network if desired.
Qualifications
- Board certified/eligible. Experience preferred.
- Beast and Radiosurgery experience required.
